Jackrabbit Lifespan
The key stages of a jackrabbit’s life cycle include birth, adolescence, adulthood, mating, and reproduction. After a gestation period of around 42 days, the female gives birth to a litter of leverets. The young jackrabbits are born fully furred and with their eyes open, allowing them to become independent more rapidly. They reach sexual maturity at about six months and can breed throughout the year.
